There are times when it helps to view a situation with fresh eyes and perspectives. A Second Opinion consultation will help you understand the risks and benefits of all the treatments being proposed, as well as set you up for better success by equipping you with the just-right questions to ask your health care providers. It is not our intention to displace a team of care givers that are working with you.
What does Move 4 Life mean by a Second Opinion?
Have you heard so many treatment options you don't know which to choose?
Dr. Stokes will discuss these options with you in depth. Repeat x-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds and MRI's may be needed to assist evaluation.
There are many treatment options available:
- Continued physical therapy, maximizing functional ability, focused weight training, specific core training.
- Pain relieving and healing injections such as: platelet rich plasma (PRP), trigger point injections, prolotherapy, acupuncture, and even steroids are all reasonable options.
- Surgical procedures may be good options as well.
Dr. Stokes will give you a Second Opinion based on knowledge gained during 25 years of working side by side with sports medicine doctors, orthopedists, physical therapists, athletic trainers and personal trainers in the Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation departments of teaching hospitals.
